LIVE STOCK SALES.

Messrs. Dalgety and .Co., Ltd., report having held tiieir usual sale at ltampdcn on May 21, when they offered a small yarding of sheep to a fair attendance of buyers. They quote as follows:—Small ewe lambs, 4s. Id.; medium wether lambs, 4s. fld.; two-tooth empty ewes Bs. 4d.; twotooth wethers, Bs. 3d.; five-year empty ewes, 6s.

Bd. Cattle: Cows, close to profit, £6, £6 55., £6 10s.; springing heifers. £6 12s. 6d., £7 55., £7 17s. 6d. f £8 55.; fat steers (light), £5 55.; fat heifers, £4 25.; empty heifers, £4; weaners, £2. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. . (Fcildiug. branch), report for the week ending May 21 as follows:—At Rangiwahia on Tuesday a small entry of stock came forward, and sold well at the following rates:—Sheep: Mixed lambs, 6s. Id. to 7s. Gd.; wether lambs, 75., Bs. Id., to 10s. 2d.; ewe lambs, • 10s.; ewes in lamb, 9s.'sd. Cattle: Weaner steers, £2 35.; forward cows, £3 95.; fat cows, £4 10s.; horses, £2 15s. to £5. At Feilding we held our usual sale on Saturday instead of on Friday. There was a small entry -of sheep, and prices for those were inclined to drag. but . a good entry of cattle met with keen competition, and a good clearance was effected. Sheep: Aged ewes in lamb, 7s. lOd. to Bs. lid.; forward ewes. Bs.; lambs,- Bs. Id. Cattle: Yearling dairy heifers, £2 145.; good dairy heifers (early calvers), £5 15s. and £6.75. to £6 145.; cows in calf, £4 to £4 17s. 6d,; Jersey cows, in calf, £7 17s. 6d. to £8; store cows, £2 Is.; bulls, £2 12s. 6d.
