The Rangiwahia branch of tho Farmers' "Union has rc-olectod Mr. Chas. M'lntyrC president, and branch .delegate to'tho provincial conference. Mr. W. Mauser succeeds Mr. O'Dwyer as secretary. OTAKI. The anmul general mooting of the Otaki Horticultural Show was held on Thursday night, thero being 1-1 members present. The report and balancesheet (previously dealt with in these columns) were considered satisfactory. Tho secretary was granted a bonus of f 5.. Tlie matter of holding only a one-day show in autumn, in place of two days as in the past, was discussed, and it was unanimously resolved to recommend the now committee hold only a onn-day show next autumn. Mr. Bartieman,' who lias been hero for the past few months on the staff of the Bank of Australasia, on Thursday received notice of transfer to To luiiti, whither lie journeyed to-day. During his r.Uy hero ho lias been obliging, painstaking, and capable, and his transfer from hero is generally regretted.
