Eaton and Andrew Gibson (Christchurch), 1: Master F. W. M'Caldon and Miss E. M. M'Caldon (Christchurch), 2. Violin Solo (sixteen and under). — Master A. V. Westhead (Dunedin), 1; Miss Fanny Coles (Christchurch), 2. Mandolin Solo. —Miss K. Baunton (Christchurch), 1; A. J. Pollard (Christchurch), 2. Piano Solo (eighteen and under twenty-one).—Miss Aileen Moore (Dunedin), 1. Mezzo Soprano Solo ("Rose Softly Blooming").—Miss Newman (Wellington), 139 marks, 1; Miss Pacey (Dunedin),- 137 marks, 2; Miss Lucy G. James (Dunedin), 130 marks, 3.
