WELLINGTON CENTRAL MISSION.
The servico at the. Kind's Theatre last night was conducted by tho Jlissioner, Rov. E. 0. Blamires. Ho was supported on the platform by Mr. Holmes, Y.M.C.A., who led the audienco in prayer, also by Mr.'Howe, who has been appointed superintendent of tho primary department of the Central Mission Sunday School.- Mr. Howo made, a telling appeal for chairs for tho little ones. Two, he said, had been given by one friend that afternoon.
The Missioner took for his subject, "Empire Days Greater Than Those of Britain." He took for his text the words, "That great and notable day of tho Lord." "That "Wellington needs a telescope is acknowledged by erery Wellington citizen," said the preacher. But another kind of telescope is necessary to every city, one which will enable cach citizen to see things which are eternal. There are spiritual empires as well as temporal. Christ the Saviour came to establish' a spiritual kingdom in the hearts of men and women. The empire days of Christ are greater than the empire days of tho greatest nation of the world.
