The barometer has risen in the northern districts, but fallen in the southernmost parts. Tho weather has been unsettled, but improved to-day. Strong southerly winds have prevailed in the north, and variable winds in the south. Present indications are for strong westerly winds generally, with rough weather in Cook and Foveaux Straits.
