FATAL WOON SPLINTER.

Auckland, May 11. l'orcy Kay, an unmarried man, 25 yenrs of age, was sawing branches from « tree at Birkeuhend, when he fell. A splinter of wood entered his body,, causing internal rupture. Kay died at the Hospital.

A young married man named Arthur Xeedham, residing at Northland, met with an accident \vhilst playing hockey at Karori yestimlav afternoon, and hail to be taken to tho'hospital for treatment.
