RIFLE SHOOTING.
A FINE PERFORMANCE. At the Greymouth Rifle Range lad Saturday, Private Flaherty put up an excellent shooting performance. Out of'2i snots,' ho made 21 bnlls'-eyes. At the'2oo yards range he'scored the- possible, 35, at the 500 yards Ire made Si points, and at the 600 yards 34 points—a total of 103 out of a possible 105. This (says our Greymouth correspondent) eclipses s& previous West Coast records.
DOMINION SCOOTS. < The following, is the result of the com* petition for Captain Corrigan's trophy (ranges, 200 and 500 yards. To be fired on three consecutive Saturdays, the highest aggregate for the best tiro shoots tn be the winner) r—Trooper Rae. Bell, 113 (scr.); Trooper E. A. Price, 118 (handicap 4); Sergeant-Major W. B. Williv: 117 (scr.). Amongst others who were in the competition were: Captain Dalrymple, Quartermaster-Sergeant Tester, Trooper Ritzema, Trqoper Burke, and Trooper Fernandos. The winner was also victorious in the shoot for the championship belt..
MORRIS TOBE MATCH. A Morris tube match was fired on Wednesday between teams representing ■ ths ■Wellington Gas Company and tbe ■ cor. poration, for the challenge • shield, held by the Gas Company team. The formei won by 48 points. The following shot best for the winners:—Evensen, 32; But lor, 31; TJrwin, 30; Coombs, 30; Topp, 30; Smallbone, 30.: For the losers: Col nan, 32; Harris, 29; Campbell, 28; Tarr, 20 were the highest scorers.

The Eastbourne Rifle Club: fired the final round on Saturday last for Messrs. and Comeron's trophies with the following result (seven shots at 20P yards) i-Rifleman Croft, 27-23-14H54) Rifleman M'Guire, 30-24-5-59; Rifleman Chapman, 21—27—10—58; Rifleman Fraser, 24—20—12—50; Rifleman Hobbs, 28—23— 51; Rifleman Exley, 28-23-51.
