Tho weather on the East Coast between East Cape and Kaikoura has continued cloudy and chilly, showery in parts, but the weather lias been generally fair elsewhere, with little movement of the barometer. A storm area appears to be approaching this country southward of Kawhia and Castlepoint, and tho barometer will probably fall soon everywhere, and especially in the south, with freshening northerly winds and unsettled and hazy weather, but tliero are indications for fair weather and. moderate winds in the north.
