BURGLARS DECAMP IN HASTE.

AN ATTEMPT THAT FAILED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) \. Auckland, April 24. Burglars entered the Remuera Road Board s office on Saturday morning. A quantity of clay was found inserted in the keyhole of the safe, and, outside, on tho roadway, was discovered a plug of gelignite, while, not far distant, there was found a bicycle la,mp and a glove. Tho manner in which these articles were scattered indicated that the intruder or intruders had been disturbed. As it happoned, if'the safe had been exploded nothing of a valuable character would have been secured.
