, Sir,—l notioe that .'Mr, Wilford is reported to hare said: "There ought to bo a scheme-arrived at between* the City Council and the Harbour ■ Board; by which some method can be . adopted for the clearance of the silt which is rapidly filling up the Thorndon baths." How many years is it that Mr. Wilford was member of the Harbour Board? Curious that he did net do something in this matter when chairman of tho board. Why has he " remained ' silent until election time?—-I am, etc., : quiz:
