Further consideration of the charges against Joseph Nidd and Thomas Aschdr, who, it was alleged, had wilfully damaged a'door and window in a house in Frederick Street occupied by William Hargreaves on April 15, was taken. . His Worship decided that both tho accused must be convicted. Nidd was fined £5, with witnesses' expenses totalling 13s. Ascher was fined £2 10s. Payment of the estimated cost of lepairing tho / damage to Hargreaves's honse, 275. 6d., was ordered to be divided between Nidd ahd Ascher. The alternative was 21 days' imprisonment, Mr. M'Grath asked for leave to appeal, and was granted till April 26 to file his case. < ' i AN INCORRIGIBLE ROGTJE; Clara Branigan, alias Doyle; was declared to bo an incorrigible rogue. According to the polico, sho had once previously been convicted of being an idle and disorderly person, and on another occasion had been deemed to be a rogue and vagabond. His Worship sentenced her to 12 months' imprisonment. . i CHARGE OF THEFT. On tho application of the police, a man named John Darroch, who was also convicted on a charge, of drunkenness, was remanded till April 25 oh a charge of stealing a fur necklet from some person or persons unknown. Th© value of the necklet was 10s.

INSOBRIETY. A first offending inebriate was convicted and discharged. Two others were convicted and fined ss. each, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. James Baxter, twice previously convicted of drunkenness, was charged with a third offence. He pleaded not guilty, and was convicted and fined 55., with the option of 48 hours' imprisonment., ' i

' BRAWLERS FINED. Two men, Walter Pearson Jackson and Joseph Donnelly, pleaded guilty to a charge, of threatening behaviour, thereby creating a breach of the peace. Each was convicted, and fined 40s.j with the option of 14 days'; imprisonment. A fine of £8, plus witness's expenses amounting to 45., with the option of 21 days' imprisonment, was also imposed upon Joseph Donnelly for using obscene language.

OTHER CASES. • James Frame, convicted on a charge of-having used obsoeno . language on April 22j was fined £3, with the option of 21 days' imprisonment, A of one month's imprisonment was passed upon Mary Joyce, alias Buckley| who was convicted on a charge of having used obscene language.
