Hβ motored to Cauterete (a village with mineral springs, in the higher Pyrenees), thence to Argeles-de-Bigorre (on the Pau), and Pierrefitte, an excursion centre, of the Pyrenee*.The Royal party then motored back 2S miles to Pau, returning by way of" Lourdes, the Roman Catholic place of pilgrimage. ' , His Majesty visited the Lourdes (Jrotto and the Church of the Rosary, ond stood with uncovered head while a procession of pilgrims passed. ! King Edward will lea\e Biarritz on Tuesday, and will reach London on, Wednesday. [There is a belief that in : 1858 the Virgin Mary appeared in the Grotto of Lourdes, above which a magnificent basilica has since.been erected.]
