DR. HENRY'S MISSION.
1 __■ The attendance at Dr. HearyY meeting in the Town Hall last .night was much larger than on. the two previous evenings, and a great improvement had been effected by hanging the ■. curve of ' the gallery with huge flags, which made the hall more comfortable and enabled the speaker to make himself heard more easily. Dr. Henry's address was directed mainly to professing Christians, and it was only at the end that he made a general appeal. His.subject was "The Tied Hands of Christ," and speaking from the texts "He is able to save," and "As a mighty man bound,'' Dr. Henry dealt with the way that the grace of God is hindered by human indifference and carelessness, and the various ways in which the hands of Christ are bound. Dr.; Henry asserted that.the infidelity outside the ChnrtJi never really affected the. Church. The infidelity that affected it was internal; the carelessness inside the Church was its greatest obstacle. The greatest heresy the world had ever known was not Hnitarianism, Deism, or any other kindred heresy.; it was the inactivity nnd .careless unfaithfulness of the. Christian. At the conclusion of Dr. Henry's address, Mr. Potts sang a solo, and, later on, an after-meet-ing was held. . _ _
, In the afternoon Dr. Henry conducted a quiet hour at Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, where there was a large.congregation, and Mr. Potts also took part.
