The international football match under Association rules between: Ireland and Wales resulted in a win for the latter, .;• the -scores being;:—Wales, 4 goals; Ireland, 1 goal. . ,' ;, NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. ■'■■':Av meeting of the Council, of the New Zealand Football Association was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last evening, Mr. C. ; Fordham. presiding. There '. were also ■'present: Messrs. Oilier, Ward, Shields, and-B. L. Salmon (secretary). In reference to the matter of colours the secretary stated that although the regulation colour: of the Canterbury As- . sociation was red and black, the southern representatives played in bine and ' white, and Wanganui, having purchased red-and black shirts, wished to play in. these.shirts. It.was decided to ask the Wanganni Association to register red - and white as their district colours, but at tie same time Wanganui were granted permission to play in fed and black ei- . .'cept when they are pitted against Can- . terbury, when they should play in white. .■■ The Wellington Football Association wrote agreeing to suggested alterations to the Brown shield rules and suggested one or. two further minor alterations. It was decided to allow the.Wellington Association the use .of the * council's goal •nets,for championship matches on the Basin Reserve at a charge of 2s. 6d. per Saturday,: the nets to be maintained in I fair order and tho council to have power to resume .the nets at any time. The Wanganni Association, writing in reference-to the Brown shield match held ~ over from last, season, suggested that. it should have first" claim for a match and ! suggested-June 30 at the earliest as the |date so. as to enable the visiting teani to get into form...-' -

An explanation, forwarded by the Otago Association, as to why.it played a school match . with •'• Southland; : after ; September SO, the close of the season, was accepted. ■ ; _ The Otago Association also, wrote stating that fie 1911 season would be more suitable for the reception of a New South Wales touring team as it is the intention, during the present year, to hold a special carnival; with the object of paying off the .£7OO .debt on the Corinthian; Park. The association, also forwarded details of its Wednesday competition. ::The secretary .was instructed to forward these on to the . Wellington Association. .
