Mr. H. H i>ndge occupied the chair. The-pro-ceedings were very brief,- the reporl and balance-sheet being taken as reac and passed without comment, while thf election of officers for the ensuing veai occupied only a few minutes. The Hon W. Hall-Jones was again elected presi. dent ,and the Hon. W. P. Reeves, Sii Walter Kennaway, Sir E. M. Nelson the Hon. R Oliver, Sir Lambert Ormesby, and Mr. H. H. Bridge vicepresidents. The general committee was then formed, the old members re-electeo being Messrs. J. W. Parkinson, J. J Boak, J. A. Mason, C. Hale, E. M Kennaway, A. M'Nab, F. .Nuding, C W. Palhser, E. Savers, ■ and H. L Lees, Mr. J. Burt and Mr. M.Lains being added to the list. The electior of a treasurer was then proceeded with Mr. Palhser, who has been the mainstay of the association from' its inception, was proposed for re-election, bul to the great regret of everybody, hf gently but firmly refused to stand He, however, nominated a successoi in Mr. C. C. Hale, and that gentlemar having signified his willingness to ad was unanimously elected. When th< hon. secretaryship came up for consideration, the chairman read a lettei from Mr. J. P. Whitelaw tendering in, resignation of that post. This was regretfully accepted, and Mr. E. M. Ken naway being willing to assume th( duties of the position, was unanimously elected. The chairman then proposec a specially hearty vote of thanks, t( Mr./C. W. Palliser for his very valuable services to the association, and hi proposition was carried with-enthusi asm. Mr. Palliser briefly thanked tin meeting for this token of appreciation Mr. and Mrs. Albert ,'Dorrington an staying at Hamsgate.
