Sir,—Mr. W. T, Stead, writing of tho London production of "Peter Pan," wondered whether'someone wpnltl not "take the theatre and pack it with poor children." "It . would,"- lie said, "make a thousand' kiddies liappy the whole of orie golden afternoon, the. memory of which would, never cease to shed a Jittle radianco ovev their lives." Prompted by this appeal, Mr; Williamson, cheerfully assisted by the whole company, orchestra, and entire staffs, wn(> volunteered their gratuitous services, reserved an afternoon for the children from all charitable .institutions of Melbourne to witness the nerformaUce 'of "Peter■■ Pa'n.V -. In Melbourne Mr. Williamson gave a special matinee .of this delightful.fairy play to over 2000 of tie poor children of the city. To the Heads of all Wellington'' Charitable Institutes.
