The "Otago Daily Times" publishes a list of the survivors of the settlers who arrived in Otago by the pioneer vessels. The oldest is Mr. J. R. Jones,' who landed in .1838 by the. Scotia schooner from Sydney ._ The surviving passengers by the brig' Magnet from Sydney to Waikonaiti, March 16, 1840, number fonr, all ladie.B another lady is the sole surviving arrival by the schooner Henry from Nelson in 1843, and ono man still lives who camo from Wellington in 1845. The survivors who camo per tho John Wickliffo from Eondon, March 23, 1848, number 14; per tho Favourite,.an American whaler, 1; por the Philip Laing, from- Greenock, April 15,1848,38; per the Blundoll, from London, September 21, 1848, 26: per the Bermlia, from London, December 23, 1848, 11. The only Canterbury resident appearing in tho list is Mr. John Christie.
