DIFFERENCE OF OPINION. SPEECH BY SIR E, GREY. EVIL EFFECTS OF TARIFF REFORM. By Tclcgropli-Press Association-Copyrieht (Rec. March 23, 10.15 p.m.) I London, March 23. Tho Unionist Free-trade Club has been wound up, owing to differences of opinion as to the relative importance of Free-trade and other political issues. Lord James of Hereford, Sir Fredorick Pollock, and other members have joined the Free-trade Union, which has hitherto been predominantly Liboral. Tho Union's executive has promised to co-operate with representative Unionist Free-traders. Lord • Beauchamp (the ' president) states that tho Union has received £10,000 in addition to tho £6000 collected by the "Daily Chronicle" for the purpose of an independent Free-trado campaign before the election. Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Secretary), addressing a Free-trade demonstration in London, declared that Tariff reform would make British politics not only profligate, but 'corrupt, and , would introduce the seeds of disunion and disruption of the Empire.
