The wheat yield ; alone was at present valued at- one million sterling per annum: This year's fruit production was'estimated at 1,280,000 cases; while sheep -were estimated to return £1,500,000, and cattle £1,110,000. The . total production of the soil, therefore, wonld be £5,000,000, for which but a handful of-people 'were responsible; This showed tho potentialities of tho State with an increased population. •
