LAWN TENNIS.

The Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association's championship tournament will be held on the Thorndon and Brougham Hill courts on Friday, Saturday; . and _ Monday next. Play will commence each day at 9 o'clock. Mr. R. N. K. Swanston will be referee, while Messrs. Bcere and Kean have tho general arrangements in hand; ' Morning and afternoon tea will bs dispensed on both courts. Amongst, those-who have entered'are: Misses Nunneloy, Travers, Williams, Bathnm, Van Staveren, and Mrs. Goldie, and Messrs. Cox, Swanston, Brown, Prouse. Smythe, Salmond, and Young. The following players narmd aro to attend at the times and couit mentioned below: — On Thorndon courts, at 9 o'clock; Brown and Prouso v. Beere and Paterson; Cox , and Swanston v: Salmond and Wilson; Sheppard v. Smythe; Miss" Archer v. Miss Newman. .At 10 o'clock: Mrs. Goldie and Miss Van Staveron y. Misses Nunneley and Williams ; Miss. Tiirton v. Miss Simpson; Swanston v. Howe. . ' On Brougham Hill courts, at 9 o'clock: Clarke and Eller v. Jones r.nd Wright; Cornell and Duncan v. Howo and Dart; Miss Bennett v. Miss Davis; Miss Francis v. Miss Howe; Miss Morgan v. Miss Atmore. At 10 o'clock: Cornell and Miss'Bennett v. Dart and Mrs. Howe'; AVright v. Clarke; Howe v.
