' Mrs. Alexander, of 109 Salisbury Stroet, Christchurch, mother of Mr. IV. F. Alexander, of tho literary staff of Tire Dominion, died in Christchurch last night, after a long illness. A very sociable gathering was held en Sunday afternoon at tho Primitive Methodist Young Men's Bible Class rooms, when the members and friends of tho class gathered together to bid farewell to tho Rev. W. S. Potter, president of the class, and Mrs. Potter, who arc about to leave for a trip to the Old Country. The guests werb .entertained at tea in , the class-room, and expressed their appreciation of the work being done in the class, and the good results which' have been accomplished. Mr. Potter spoke of the many happy hours he had spent with the . young men, and the source of encouragement and ■ pleasure it had been to .him to ; work among tho young people
