KITCHENER'S APPRECIATION.
KEENNESS OF ALL RANKS. ■In genera] orders, issued yesterday by the chief of the general staff (Colonel Robin) is published, the following letter from Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener:— i ■ ■ ■ "The Right Honourable the Minister for Defence, New Zealand. ,"I will be gkd , if you will in your general orders express to the de-fence forces of the. Dominion, including the cadets, my appreciation of the opportunity given me to imspect these forces in ■ each district. "It gave me great pleasure to be associated with the field forces on. their manoeuvre day, and to notice the keenness displayed Iγ all ranks. ' "KITCHENER, F.M." The following letter of appreciation has been received from tho Right Honourable the Minister for Defence:— : "I desire also to add my personal appreciation of the excellent manner in which tho forces turned out for inspection by the Field-Marshal, 'and their general bearing while under review. / "J.
