A GIANT WAVE.
Tho Lusitania, after a very rough passage, arrived at Now York on January 15, twenty-six hours late. Her forward pilot house was washed away, four lil'oboats were badly smashed, and tho officers' quarters were so damaged ,as to bo unlit for uso. Many, plateglass windows were broken. While Captain Turnor and the passengers were dining one evening a great wave struck tho ship. No one was on deck at tho time, or he would certsinly have been washed overbqard. Tho wrecked pilot hoii3o is normally B'lft. abovo water. The first officer, who was in tho wheelhouso, says that the wave was a hundred feot high. Tho quarter-master, who was in the forward pilot house, was the only person injured. Ho was badly bruised. It was necessary for the Lusitania to lie to for five hours for repairs to her steering apparatus. '■
