INTER-VARSITY TOURNAMENT

OUTLINE ■ OP PROGRAMME. (ByTeleßraph.-Special Correspondent.) Christchurch, March 17.' The annual tournament between the four colleges of the University of New Zealand will be held at Christchurch at ; Easter time. It is expected that each college will enter very full teams, and that probably no fewer-than 500 undergraduates will be here during the time that the tournament is in progress. The following programme has been drawn up, but is subject to possible alterations. Saturday, March 26—Official welcome to visiting teams in the college hall, 9.30' a.m.; tennis championship at Avonside Tennis Club's courts, 9.45 a.m. and 2 p.m.; picnic to Wainoni Park, 7.30.

Monday, March 28—Athletic championships, at Lancaster Park, 11 ajn.; debating contest at' Choral Hall, 7J30 p.m. Tuesday—Finals tenni6 championships, 9.30 a.m.; ball in' Alexandra Hall 8.30 p.m. In addition to these recognised events of the tournament,. the Hoslam Shield for rifle shooting will be fired for, and it is stated that there may be a football match and a ladies' hockey match.
