MurrayJackson, J. C. Ewington. and H. J. O'Leary. The ■ treasurer' reported ;. re< . ceipts since last meeting, .£562 6s!; ex« penditure, J224C ss. 7d.; balance at date, • 165.; Infectious Diseases Hospitalsreceipts, £137 Cs. j expenditure, .£Bl 7s. 6d.; balance at date, .£142 3s. 3d. Ao. counts amounting to JEB3 6s. 3d. were passed for payment. Mr. A. H. Kothenberg wrote resigning his. position as honorary dental surgeon- to the hospital, the resignation being received with regret •The matron's report stated that there. were 16 patients, in the. .hospital at the. ' "jjfpnning of the month. Bight had been . admitted, and nine" discharged, leaving' e 2, pnder treatment The tendet of Mr. Tate (-£132) for the construction of • ■ joe septic. tank was accepted. Estimates : ior the coming year, were submitted' by the secretary, and a copy was ordered to be forwarded to. the new board. At the conclusion of the business, the chairmanreferred to . the fact that it was the last ( sitting of the board as at present conI shtuted, and he thanked members for _ their. courtesy and assistance during histerm of office. At . the meeting of the Mastertofl Borough Council on Tuesday evening lastJ the Masterton Chamber of Commerce forwarded a letter containing the follow* ing resolution passed at their last meet-ing-.—"That in view of the Mastertou County ■ Council's decision to build twa wooden structures at the Northern ;Approach, the chamber urges the ■ Maker* . ; ton - fioTQUgh Council to insist on th(' original resolutions beine carried ou£ ; viz., that: "the borough : and county en- . gineers formulate a scheme for the ; Northern Approach, and that in'tha , event of their failing to agree a consult* , ing engineer ;be engaged to settle the-' difference; in the opinion of this-: chamber the bridge or bridges Should .be s , u constructed of • concrete 'or more lasting.
