Captain Lowden, formerly of the Waiwera, is. reported to be in command of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's new steamer Bangatira,' which is duo at Auckland about April 12. En route from London to Auckland, the New Zealand Shfpping Compary's Otaki passed the Cape of Good Hope on .Wednesday last, March 2. The scow Dominion, which has been trading between Ngunguru and Auckland for some considerable time, has changcd hands, Messrs. Biddick -and Goldsboro 1 having purchased the vesßel from r the latt , owners (Messrs. Gouk and Dowd). Tho Union Company's Kamona was fixed to leave Westport for Wellington at 5 a.m. to-day. The Poherua, 'at present discharging at this port, returns to Greymouth today and the Waipori leaves for Westport • to-morrow. ~ The Storm, which is due from- Wanganui to-day, will load for southern ports. Tho Breeze, which left last night for Napier and Gisborne, will load sheep at the latter port for tho south. . Mr. W. H. B.
