• «~ — _ THORNDON CLUB'S CARNIVAL. The first evening carnival essayed by any of the local swimming clubs will be held at the Thorndou Baths this evening,, under, the auspices. of the Thorndou Uub. A number of smaller lamps will also be fitted about the baths and at the starting and finishing boards \ special feature of the gathering will be a display of diving by the "Thorndon Seagulls.
