The London newspapers publish eulogibiic notices of Sir Geo. Raid. RURAL IMMIGRANTS NEEDED. (Rec March 1, 10 p.m,) London, March 1. Referring to immigration. Sir Geo, Eeid said that Australia's attractions for the right kind of immigrants were so vast and solid that, there was no need , ofmethods of exaggeration. "We have," he added, "populations in all the Australian capitals quite out of proportion to that of the interior of the States. The value of a stream of artisan immigrants would be very questionable compared with a stream of agricultural ones. We must have a vigorous system of immigration of people belonging to the rural classes." , Sir Geo. Reid was entertained at dinnej in the House of Commons.
