The Palmerston North annual ram fair was held on Tuesday, February 22, and the total entry submitted by the three firms (Abraham and -Williams,. Ltd., ' Dalgcty ami Co., Ltd.. and tho New Zealand Loan and Agency Company, Ltd.) comprised upwards of 1600 rams of various breeds. Competition for good llomneys was keen. Sheep, owing no doubt; to the continued dry weather, suffered a decline, and although wb wero successful , in placing almost the whole of our entry vendors hid to reduce their reserves to permit of business being done.
