Roy Nelson, of the Thorndon . Club, was unable 1 to: competo-in the 100 yards race for Dr. Izard's trophy owing to. an ear-' trouble. This is the-first race whichNelson has missed since'he has, been swimming,. : Mr. A. W. Smith, chairman of . the Thorndon Club, has received a framed photograph of the club's late secretary (J. T. ll'Uroy), now of Napier.' it is-to have a. prominent position in the club s rooms.
