Cleared the Heads at 9.80 p.m.; and experienced light north-east winds, whioh hung. out until Sinclair, Head : was reached. After passing Sinclair Head it: began to blow, strongly from the north. At 11.85 p.m., when off Terewhiti, the yawl passed Mr.' Jackson's launch Taniwha. .When : about half-way between Terawhiti and Tory; Channel ran into a shoal, of porpoises. On Wednesday we went to Resolution Inlet; a. good breeze favouring' us all: the way, and we. had a good trip. Passed the Ngaira when making for Separation Bay. The remaining days of tho cruiso—what, better kind of cruise, could there'bo?—passed without notable event and. after an extensive cruise, extending over more than a week in the Sounds there came eventually the last day'. It was a Sunday and at_ 5.30 a.m. we got under . weigh with a, nice, breeze from N.W. Waited for Siren,' and passed
