MEREDITH'S POSTHUMOUS NOVEL.

Now that, 'his: lost words have been written,/ the announcement that a posthumous novel, "Celt and Saxon," is, to'• appear immediately, 'will; awaken widespread interest. "Celt and' Saxon" will bo published, in the first instance, in "The .Fortnightly Eevieiv." The editor' of that journal, Mr. ■W. L.. Courtney; informed a '"Daily News" representative that. the.first chapters of. tno novel' will appear', in r tho January "Fortnightly," , and . that .the book willrnn through some eight months.
