LODGE MEETINGS.
"The usual weekly session, of the King's Coronation Lodge of: Good • Templars -was ■held', at its room, .121 .Manners Street, last Friday, evening. i.Bro.rT.'W., Steel, P.C.T., presided oyer a fair' attendance. A vote of 'condolence' was passed, to. the relatives of the late Bro. C. R. Ralph. Otticers for the now,.term-were elected as follow:--C.T., Bro., H., J. 'Allen; V.T., Sis.' M.Herdman;. secretary, Bro. T. W. Steel; financial secretary; Sis. E.ißodda (rc-olected) ;• treasurer,' J Bro.' A. Dryden; chaplain, Sis. M. Harding;.marshal, Bro. C.Chorlwood; guard, Bro. J. Baird; sentinel, Cis. I. Hansen; pianist, Bro. Is-' raol; registrar, Sis. Harding' ■ (re-elected); P.C.T., Bro. L. Parris.,.Bros."F. Wright and Grieve'acted as, scrutineers. .Hearty fraternal greetings' from Dunedin (per Bro. Patterson) and Kia Ora Lodge were received and reciprocated: 'A: good programme was submitted by tho committee. Tho, weekly meeting of The, Hope of Kilbirnio Lodge,' No. 51, : was hold in the State Schoolroom on Friday' evening, The number of members on the roll was increased by the initiation of seven new mombors. The item on the programme was. "open night," sisters being repsonsiblo for the entcrtainmont. The following contributed to the /programme:—Sisters Russell and Peddic, Brothers Petherick, Newton, Grainy, Wicks, and Ingram. During the ovening the District Executive was officially received and accorded a hearty welcome. A' unanimous vote of thanks, carried by acclamation, was accorded tho sisters for providing tho programme and supper. Sister Mrs. Gilbertson responded on behalf of the sisters of tho. lodge. A hearty vote of thanks to visitors brought.an onjoyablo ovening to a close.' ■•'.;•''::
