M'Laren. • " ' > ' '■ A letter was read from the Martin.borough .Town Board drawing'-'attention to' the'ifact'that-the board had been paving. into the /coffers of the. Charitable Aid-Board for the past four years, and had also' during the same time been paying away moneys for: local aid. "Up to -.the time of writing," Concluded the letter, "I niajr state_ that -we have not received one penny piece from your Board, by way of reimbursement." The secretary replied that the ' Martinborough' Board had . not' any money becauso they had' not sent in a. claim. A ; claim fot, .jfl3G odd had now. been rer ceiyed and paid. .The financial statement to January SO showed a credit balance of ,£loß3' Bs. Bd. . The included: Balance in hand, .£lß2;' fourth quarter'slevies now due, ,£1500; .subsidy - on same, ,£1500; levies and-subsidies- in . arrear, *8118. Accounts amounting to '-J6900' 38s. Bd. were.passed for payment.: The chairman said there should be something in hand at the end.'of the year. - :
