Weddell. and Co.', of London, received: a cable on Monday , .stating:—"lt is reported that Canadian stocks of cheese are 5000 tons short of the estimated quantity, and that, cheese: prices are likely to . advance." / :During the'past Week thero has been a stir in'the cheese market .here, and several factories have sold'the balance of ,their season's output at; s}d.,per lb. f.o.b. at Bluff. This is no doubt owing to some buyers having ' anticipated, a rise in values. , Tho . bulk ot the Southland factories.are still consigning, and will doubtless/ reap ■ the benefit of the improved conditions of the London market. ;
