THE-RAILWAY TIME-TABLE. IS IT ACCIDENT. OB DESiGN? Sir,—An examination of the time-table —Thorhdon Station to Wanganui, etc.— reveals a peculiarity. The Main Trunk express leaving Wellington for Auckland at; 1115 p.m. reaches Marton at 1 4.46.. A slow, train . which, leaves Palmerston for. .Wanganui at 1.40. is .at Marton a little' after four, and leaves there at 4.25, reaching.; Wanganui ;at 7.3/ . Does it not seem anomalous that this slow. train .should not bo delayed for' just,, a little over 20 minutes to,'give' passengers who may choose'to. travel by the express an opportunity, to reach home just two hours sooner? So it peems to mer—l* am, etc., AN UNCOMMERCIAL TRAVELLER. ..
