There is a dark background, and the Canon is. portrayed wearing his JI.A. gown, lhe Vice-Chancellor, who presided, in making the presentation, said. thoy Wero, proud--'aha fond of Dr. Sanday,-..'Sine of the. most trious workers in 'Bacred'tscholarship. lion;-liv-ing,. recognised .' as suohi'iu every country in Europe, in America-nayj; in .every part; of 'the world .where , suoh things'; are: appreciated and understood." ... .
