Mrs. Alexander,: the widow,'stated that deceased had suftercd from inflammation of tho ; legs. - Ho. dechne4: to have a doctor, "saying' tfiat ho did. not wish to give up Ms principles of Christian (Science. A Christian. Scientist who was helping said it might be advisablenot for help,' but for different reasons-to call a doctor.; Deceased raised no objection to this, but said ho -would hot take any medicine. A doctor,was accordingly calledin. He did not givo any treatment Death'took place the same evening. '•■-. . :-. - '..Caroline Paulino Macdonald, -who described herself,as the widow; of' a merchant, and residing at Drayton Gardens, South Kensington, said sho took charge' of the case. The jury returned a verdict according l to the evidence of Dr., Spilsbury, and added that death was accelerated by the deceased's reluctance to recoivo '■ medical. advice. ■,
