MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
, The Missions to Seamen Instituto was'crowded last when tho Misses Kreeft aud Morrah provided' on enjoyable concert. Tho chair was occupied by Mr. Jaincs Mooro, the Missionor. Tho following contributed items to the programme:—Pianoforte solo; Mr. Knoxrecitation, Miss Van'. Stavcren; 'song, MKs Hunt; song, Mr. Paul; song, Miss Kembor; song, Mr. Paul; recitation, Miss Van Staveren • chantin, Mr. A. J. Hall;'song, Miss Warburton. Miss ifatnbono acted as. accompanist. Several ' popular chornsos/were sung by the audience, and an amusing conundrum . competition was won by sailors trom ships in port. Daring a short interval, the Missioner delivered an oarnosi tomperanco address, resulting in several men taking the pledge. The performors wero accorded a hearty vote of thanks, and licht refreshments wero dispensed. ..■..."
