y ; r ANNUAL PRIZE GIVING. : ' : The prizes won by-the ■pupils'of;-St. Mary'i Convent High School; were presented last nigh at; the school by : His Grace ;Archbishon : Ktd .wood, who -expressed his satisfaction at thoi; work, and witu tho; musical programme whicl they gave during the evening. Archbishop Ked wood, presents, a prize eacli year for, .essay writing, and tho subject set this year was "Tlii Del'onco.of tho Empire." He was; he said, ex coedingly pleased with the essays sent in, am tho prize .was won by Miss ■ Leila Flanagan During tho evening the pupils, gave a concert which.wasimuch appreciated by their audience tho - soloists; being received with.. special favour. Tho senior pupils sang a - round, and tb unior pupils did dumbbell drill, tho bumb bells being decorated with coloured" ribbon and .'famished with bells.
