Potentates. .'/These follow the lines of the-nead .closelv,; fit low down over the hair, and are usually made of velvet; though there are lovely.evening models of gauze and lace, which/are. usually finished bv some sort of MHSP or ornament; On. different lines is the Cossack turban built,, as this is big, round, and heavy in appearance.: These' turbans are usually.composed entirely,"bf fur, or the crown may.bo of velvet vvith a.brim .of deep fur. lhe Napoleonic or tricorne shape is the third favonntc model, and 'is exploited in many forms, as each • designer gives his own roll to the brim, and his own; form .of tri-.-ming. Many of-the tricornes composed of fur are tnmmed, only, with one hugo.velvet flower, and are decidedly, becoming in-their simplicity. The fourth-model of the season is the Cavalier -hat, which/now turn's up', less' brusquely at tho side than at the beginning,of tho season. For tins form of: hat,' ostrich plumes; are the most modish; form of 'trimming, though wings are also employed for its.decoration, - Blue hats particularly modish in Paris at the present moment, and the favourite moire hat is socn'/.in/many of .'the' new shades..
