G. - Harkues3, an offer to sell a. strip'of land at Khandallah/ owned by, Mrs. Roid, of Upper Willis' Street, for road purposcs, : trn's. declined. It was accordingly decided to take no .action in'tho matter..,. : In. reforence to tho proposed tramway, it was resolved to grant the further concession that, at the end ,of the 35 years; the Cashmero Estate Company could continuo running its trams,.till tho council purchased the rolling stock at a valuation. An application of the Cashmere Estate Company for the naming of streets' 'was < agreed to.; Tho" council approved the jilans of streets already formed'on tho estate, subject' to a maintenance deposit of but' declined to receive a/bond of the directors in lieu of cash concerning mods not yet formed. "A proposal to call one of the Cashmere Estate streets "St. Ijauronce Crescont" was met with the objection that- a":-Liiufence ; Street, already' oxisted,: at Ngaio. ; The name "was, however, sanctioned.. . Councillor Linneberg suggested that the: City Council should be asked to oxterid into the borough' the electric light, which already reached the boundary.
