LETTER CARRIERS' PICNIC.
The third annnal picnic of letter carriers was held on Saturday; afterrioon. at Day's Bay. There .was' a large : attendance .of postal officials,' nearly every , branch having "a repceseiitaiijre present. • ATiangpmenis were carried out; by a committee' consistißg of Mr J ISlessTs. Stokes, KUching, tscott, Eaddick, . Clancj, , Miller, Laurence M*Ewan (treasurer), and R. X Couper (seere-rary)-,Captain Dawson'(harbour -board) and : Mr. Collins (mail room) acted as judges, Mr. Chapman, as handicapper, and Mr. Stokes as starter. .After the sports Mr. Johnston, on behalf 'of the staff invited Captarn "Dawson to present too prizes. .Cheers were given to those who kindly assisted in carrying out arrangements also to the -various firms mentioned above for donating trophies. . s ,
