• A SETTLEMENT WITH AUSTRALIA LIKELY. (Dy Telegraph-Prese Association-Copyright I (Bee. December 3, 110 a.m.) Sydney, December 2, Tli6 Council of the Lawn Tennis Association, together 'with Professor Huntci (New Zealand), discussed thb question of New Zealand's secession from co-nationhood with Australia under the Davis Cup conditions.' It was decided to make certain alterations in the constitution of the Association. Those will be considered at a further meeting, and, if they are then cndoisod, Professor Hunter has agreed on behalf of New Zealand to rejoin tho Association." As the Council was unanimous at its meeting to night, it is behoved tl'at endorsement of the new arrangement is certain, and that the difficulty between Australia and New Zealand is practically fended
