Tiptoe was tho favourite selection in the Kiwitea Welter. At the start, Cyrono led from Pnisano and Osiria. Actoss the bottom there wero a deal of changes, but, at tho straight entrance, Cyreno was still in front, with Full Sail nett. Then Paisano, Tiptoe, and Flmgot made their efforts,'and the last-named got np, and won by a length. Tiptoe came very fast in tiro straight, and had ho not got si , liad passage he must havo won.
