In connection with the volcanio outburst at Pico do Teyde, Tenenffe, the explosions are increasing in frequency, and the flowing lava is slowly creoping nearer the threatened villages. _ Two of tho three new craters have united owing to the intervening crust falling in. Tho authorities have made preparations to deal with any catastrophe.
