U Tonor, of the ' ll'ruitgraucis' 00-opeiotno Socioh Limited, complaining of tho lack of facilities for railing fruil to Wellington, ,Mr. Tonar lias iccpived tho. followmg reply — "I am in receipt of yom favour asking: that I should bung before the Hon. Uw Minister for Kulvajs, your society's request that fruit may be forwarded to Wellington by oxproy direct, even if the chorees are made double, or oven troblo. In roply, I have to 'say that I hm i very, much In sympathy with tour ■ society in tho disadvantages under which it is 'labouring, and I shall have pleasure in placing your representations, before tho Hon. tho Minister for Kailways."
