MARKERS EEPEIItANDED. '-■'■'- The Executive Council of the Garrison Eiile Association met at the Garrison Hall last evening, Major C. D. Mackintosh presiding, i An application from Victoria College O.T.C. for a transfer ■ of Captain, Boore from A team to B team 1 in the third grade of the Garrison Shield competition, and for Private Short from B team to A team, was received. It was stated that in such cases applications were not necessary...... ■. . : , . : :■,..■.... ,- .■-■'.' ;■■■■ ■ ".■■ ■' ■ v : Captain Davis reported that to date the subscriptions, from officers towards the funds for the district championship meeting totalled .£33 Is. Gd.;' received vby / Mr. \3. D.. A very,.; the association's collector (cash and trophies), <£13 18s.; total, ■&<$ 19s. 6d. .Altogether, reokoning on the val-ue of all trophies, ■ the -association now had MiS lls. Gd. in hand. '\. -After some discnssion a report submitted, by the 'subcommittee appointed to investigate certain complaints concerning the marking at the first GatriEon Shield match on October SO, and also on the deficiency of. 25 scorers in the same 'match was adopted. The.committee found that in eachcaso the complaints were well-foundedi hut that the offenders had actecl with '■ good intentions, expressed regret for the inconvenience caused,- ,-and'. stated that ■. they Were prepared to make. satisfactory proyisidns for future matches.' It was recommendedi-n;.. ■■■-: "That the Permanent Tprce Rifle Club, Cycle Corps, JohnsonvUle Eifles, and the Dominion Scouts be ■reprimanded for failing, to; supply .efficient markers; ■' • •'■■■. ■•.'•' : . . •■■•"■■: "That" certain: markefs (nanled) be not permitted to act in the two remaining matches of the series; :■ .•.
