A SUBURBAN RAILWAY COMPLAINT.
Sir,—Will you kindly find space inyour valuable paper Jor. ,a few lines regarding tie management of. £h® trains on-the suburban lines oil public' holidays. It seems, to me 'itkat tho racing community are the'only ones to be considered. Both the' Hutt and Petone stations were lined with people waiting for the mail train down, many of the tfomoa with roung infants in their arms, and as usual the train was twenty minutes late. I have even known' it to be an hour and twenty minutes late. 'Who are we to thank for, this, the Minister for Railways or the traffic manager? Surely the residents who travel every day havo a right to be able to take out their families with as much comfort as the-' racing people have. Who keeps tho suburban trains going— the residents, or the casual travellers to the races ? Let them have their trains by all means, but hot. at the expense' of ' those who travel daily. Hoping to see this taken up by an abler pen than 'mine.—l am, etoi, ; .PATIENCE. . Lower Hntt, November 10.
