THE ANNUAL REPORT SOME INTERESTING riGURES Tho cross outpnt of the State coal mines for the vear ended March 31 last was 309,904 tons, of "wluch 239,887 tons «ere produced at Point Elizabeth, and 60,148 tons at Soddonvillo The total shows an increase on last year's output-of 27,620 tons Briquettes to the valno of £12,37* were Bold during tho year, £10,576 worth of which was supplied to the railways. Of the output of the mines 75,5-49 tons (or a third) of the Point Elizabeth coal was absorbed by the railways and Government Departments, and the output of the Seddonnlle mine, over 27,000 tons (pr nearly one-half) was similarly absorbed The net pronts for the year on the Point Elizabeth Mine k shown a" .£17,266 Ob 7d, and on the Scddonvjlle Mine £136 17s 4d The price at which.
